Crafting Paper Arrows

So what do you do on a cold snowy day when you just want to stay inside? You craft paper arrows! I made these using basic supplies that I had on hand. The large arrow I crafted using a roll of tree wrapping paper found at Home Depot. I love the stuff because it is heavy and has a wonderful textural quality. The smaller arrows were made using crepe paper streamers and hearts cut from vintage book pages. Thank You so much for the wonderful response to the Mentoring Sessions I am now offering. To answer a couple of questions; Yes, the sessions may be split into 2 (1) hour sessions. As a matter of fact, I think that will work best so everything can be covered. Chateau Chambray

Last year I was shopping at one of my favorite antique shows and found a beautiful vintage hand tied quilt. I showed it to my friend Renee Nanneman and she thought it would be perfect to reproduce the fabric for her Need'l Love Quilt Company. Soon Renee and her team at Andover Fabrics designed an entire line called Chateau Chambray based on the quilt. I recently received a box of the fabric from Renee and it is simply wonderful! 

You just never know where one of those Vintage Treasures you find might end up!

  With the start of the New Year, you might have noticed that I've done a bit of housekeeping on both of my blogs. It seems that my Social Media time has been spent on Facebook and Instagram-(user name RAISEDINCOTTON)-

I redesigned the Raised In Cotton blog banner and added "Lifestyle" to signify all the passions that make up Raised In Cotton. If you've been a blog reader for the last 8 years, you can probably guess from my postings what that all entails. I hope you like the new banner. 

I should probably apologize to you for not updating my blog more often but I really don't have that great of an excuse. I think I suffered from some blog burnout and needed a break. And like I mentioned above, Facebook is so much easier and less time consuming to post plus I can do it right from my phone.
