When I first heard that Michaels would be carrying Karri Meng's French General paper line, I could not wait to get my hands on some of the items. I've been a fan of Karri's work for several years especially her talent for picking the most gorgeous colors to use for her fabrics and trims. So the other day I crafted a few tags in honor of flag day using the French General trims I picked up from Michaels.

I added some red, metallic and star ribbon to the tags to echo the look of vintage patriotic medals.
Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE decorative tape? I found the prettiest red tape with a floral pattern to go along with the French General trims and used it to frame the edges of an old shipping tag. For the "Junk" word, I took a pack of Tim Holtz mini playing cards and cut the letters in half securing them in place with more decorative tape.
The tags were a fun patriotic punch to our Bottoms Up Antique Market space~ June 1 & 2 ~Kansas City, Missouri.
