We are so excited to be doing the fantastic December Bottoms Up Market in downtown, Kansas City, Missouri!

Bottoms Up is in the MEGA HOT West Bottoms Antiquing district and held on the first Friday and Saturday of each month. We are taking Raised In Cotton on the road and heading North to take part in the market and would LOVE for you to come and see us:)

Easy Outdoor Holiday Decorating Ideas

Raised In Cotton Holiday Decorating Ideas

* Place lighted candles on the outside entry or porch for a Holiday Greeting to your guests

* Add some spray glitter to the edge of a red glass candle holder for sparkle

* Gather berries, pinecones and fresh greens to use around the lighted candles

* Glass cake pedistals are perfect to set candles on to use outdoors

* Create "Ice Lanterns" by adding fresh cranberries and water to the bottom of a paper cup. Then set another (smaller sized) paper cup filled with water inside the larger cup to create the candle holder. Freeze and then remove both cups by using a small amount of warm water to release both cups.

* No Snow? No problem! Use a bag of Epsom Salts for your own faux snow~Found at Target or Walmart

What's Your Holiday Color Palette?

It's no secret that when it comes to decorating,always start by deciding on a color palette. The basic concept of picking colors first is a decision I do even when styling for events, photo sessions and the shop. When the color choice is made, it is fairly easy to select the other elements and textures to go along with the scheme. After that, everything else just falls into a more cohesive style.

*Here's a tip for you, need to find a great Holiday color palette for your event or home? Go to a Sephora Store and check out the gorgeous eye shadow colors for ideas. No Joke! The Beauty Industry is genius when it comes to putting together incredible color packages. So forget the paint store, try the cosmetics counter for color ideas:)

Since we use lots of creams, black and white shades at the shop, it was easy to select those colors for our Holiday Open House. We also added lots of "dirty" gold, mercury glass silver and flocked branches to create a layered sparkle to the shop.
