A few weeks ago I went to one of my favorite style of auctions where they sell most everything in "box lots"~basically a bunch of junk is piled in box flats and and sold to the highest bidder. There may be only one thing that you are really interested in but half of the fun is getting the whole box of potential treasures. I love thinking of ways to use my auction finds and most of the time it includes flowers. One such box had this small metal bait container with a leather strap. Perfect I thought for a small bouquet to hang in the farmhouse.
In a few weeks I might just add a group of small flags and hang the container on my gate.
In another box I won was a huge group of old glass jars....oh the possibilities I thought~
Yellow tulips seem right at home in the old glass jars on top of the bench in the foyer.
The little metal fan had my initial on the front and I just had to bid on it. I got it for $9 and after cleaning all the dirt and grime away it is sitting on a cupboard in the kitchen.
I am painting the mudroom and can't wait to show you some of the rooms in the farmhouse.
