The fun part of getting ready for our first Sale, is having a legitimate excuse for buying all those great vintage finds we come across. The Shop Gals love small tables, just can't get enough of them! We have been fortunate to find some really cool ones. We have a small oval white table, a wicker table with cream paint and a really awesome french provencial cream and gold side table. If you love black, I was able to find a 1950's style occasional table. Small tables are so useful and can go in any room. Of course if you have a table you need something to display on them and we have you covered.....Jerri has the cutest pottery lamp that would go great on any of the tables. Not to mention all the other lamps, pictures, pottery and smalls that we are going to have available for our first Sale.

I finally have our Website presentable enough that I can invite everyone to take a look! Finding and creating the right graphics and colors was a big challenge for me. I tend to like more vintage pictures with sepia tones. But, I knew our Shop needed a Website that would represent all 5 of the Shop Gals tastes. Big Girl Jobs
The 5 Shop Gals as I call ourselves have daily "Big Girl Jobs." Our expertise range from Nursing, Legal and Teaching jobs. Even though I would love to tell you that we are able to spend every wakening minute on our new Shop venture, it just is not possible. So for that reason and still trying to support our families, we will hold monthly Sales at the Shop. Even though we sometimes complain about working and wishing to spend more time on the Shop, our "Big Girl Jobs" have provided us with varied backgrounds that have helped us with our Business Start-up. Accessing, Organizing, Managing, and Goal Setting are actions we use in our everyday jobs that have helped us with our Business plans. Ok, enough of the stuffy language, we hope to have fun and offer monthly inventory of wonderful treasures for your Home!

Our Shop
After much wishful discussion and dreaming, the 5 Shop Gals, (Denise, Jerri, Terri, Phyllis and Carol) are taking the plunge and opening a retail business! We are creative women who decided to try out this new venture after many years of saying, "one day when we open our shop...." Our day has finally presented itself.
Our shop will be housed in a wonderful 100+ year old Victorian on a main street in Raymore, Missouri. It will have a Vintage flavor featuring English,Cottage and Garden goods for the home. For the last several years we have been doing Antique Shows and have had the good fortune of always being ask if we had a shop. Well the answer is "opening soon!"
We are currently repainting the inside with yellow, apple green and a soft blue to hopefully make our little cottage "pop" with color. I made the mistake of trying to paint the old stucco ceiling in the kitchen with the wrong type of paint. No wonder I had more paint in my hair then the ceiling. The kitchen has a wonderful old brick fireplace that Roger, Phyllis's talented husband, unboarded and built a mantel to use. Thankfully, the only thing we found inside the fireplace was a dead bird. The main room has great floor to ceiling windows with nice thick trim. Jerri and Terri along with Terri's husband Charlie painted this room a pretty mellow yellow with ivory trim.
Since we all have "Big Girl Jobs" and can't be open all the time, we have decided to offer Tag Sales once a month. Our hope is to have our first Sale in October. Our Journal Blog will help keep our customers and friends up to date on the Shop Sales and chatter.
