I really did not know how to start this post considering all the devastation that has been going on in my state the last few weeks. Joplin, Missouri which is a town of 50,000 is about 2 1/2 hours south of KC and holds great personal memories for me. A bit surreal to see all the horrific images and know that places you once visited were gone in an instance. The High School and city park where my sons' played baseball for many Summer tournaments is completely gone. Like many of you, my heart aches for all the families who have lost loved ones along with their homes. God Bless all of them.
As you can imagine, we're a bit shell shocked in my region. I took this photo (with my cellphone) looking out my front door after several tornadoes were sighted in my immediate area. Sigh.....Thank Goodness we are strong in America right?
Thank You so much to all of you who entered the Cabbages & Roses giveaway. I was overwhelmed at the response on both blogs as well as Facebook and Twitter. I am so very grateful for the continued support.
Rachel was the winner of the Cabbages & Roses linen tablecloth~Congratulations!
