If
you are a vintage loving, decorator at heart like I am you probably already know the event
of the treasure seeking season is upon us. What event you ask? That would be
the world famous Spring Antique Shows in and around Round Top, Texas. Imagine thousands of dealers offering the most incredible goods lined up in field after field of marvelous old finds.
There are so many things to see and do and at the top of the list are the wonderful Marburger (my fav) and The Red Barn Antique Shows. At Marburger our KC pals (who we are also staying with) dealers Gwen McClure, Teri Elliott and Barb Farmer will be displaying their beautiful cargo from France ~French By Design.
I
have to devote a whole paragraph to none other than Miss 411 Sweet T. If you
have never or even if you are an old pro at the Texas Antique happenings,
Theresa Cano is THE person to find out everything you need to know and where to go
while in Texas! She is a wealth of information plus one of the sweetest people
you will ever meet. Also, she will have
a Blog Party on Sunday, March 28 with tons of things happening right beside her booth at Zapp Hall in Warrenton. Click on her
link for more great info.
If
you are not already planning to go, I hope “once in your life” you get to take
part in all the fabulous Texas Antique Week happenings. I will be bringing back
many photo’s of the events and shows to share with you when I get back.

Next Sunday, Deb and I will fly out of Kansas City
and into Austin to spend a few days junking, shopping, laughing and meeting up
with many friends who share our passion for Texas inspiration. Our buddy, the super talented Heather is also flying into Austin on Sunday
and will be joining us on the ride to Round Top, fun times ahead! No car rental for us, nope we
drive the big rig U-Haul, you ought to see Deb navigate through those tiny field
spaces. We are serious girls when it comes to junking!

Of course I hold a special place in
my heart for my dear friends Linda and Ludmil Marcov who will also be at
Marburger. We actually get to spend time at Linda and Ludmil’s lovely home on
Sunday evening. Check out this video of
one of their places they currently have for sale….sigh. Can you tell I can’t
wait?
This was the backside of Linda and Ludmil's booth at Marburger last year. Incredible attention to every last detail!
A Zapp Hall dealer, would love to give this person credit if anyone can help me:)
I am fortunate to be doing some photo assignments for Jo Packham while I am in Texas. Jo will be a featured guest at Theresa’s Blog Party and at the Marburger Show. I am also going to shoot Magnolia Pearl’s Booth at Marburger for Jo’s magazine Where Women Create. I am really looking forward to working with Jo.
