To start the New Year off, I thought it would be fun to do interviews with some of my favorite Swedish bloggers to share with you. I have been a huge fan of Swedish blogs since I started my own blog in 2005. So in the coming days I will feature a few of these beautiful blogs. Today I would like to introduce you to Mia of the lovely Lilla Blanka Blog
Please tell us a little something about yourself Mia: I´m 40 years old, Swedish, married, three children. I live in a house (built 1904) at the west coast of Sweden. I love to decorate, create things. I think interior design is very relaxing and giving.
What is your favorite decorating style: I love the rustic English and French country style, and I also like the Swedish white style, and I especially like to mix these two styles of rustic zinc/wood and the white romantic to create something personal.
I love the mix of rustic and white with handcrafted items you show on your blog. Where does your inspiration come from: It´s weird, but often when I see a glimpse or a teeny piece of something...like an old lace, a page from an old book, a brick, or a piece of stucco or a table leg..I create a picture in my head of something much bigger..Something I can craft or maybe a whole room in this style.
What is your favorite way to spend the day: I like to spend the day with my family, by the beach or just sitting on the porch with a cup of tea and a book or having a BBQ with the family or friends in the garden. I also like to spend some hours in my greenhouse, talking to my plants ;)
Share with us any future plans you have for Lilla Blanka: I intend to go on with my blog Lilla Blanka as it is, no commercials, no obligations, just keep on showing my "projects", crafts and my life. I can reveal that Lilla Blanka (photos from the blog) will appear in a new book about swedish/french interior design, similar to Franske Stemninger (by Jeanne d´arc). I think it will be released in spring/early summer. That´ll be fun!
Mia has such a beautiful style don't you think? I want to Thank Mia for taking the time to share with us a little bit about her life. I hope you can visit Lilla Blanka and leave Mia a comment, I know she would love it!
In the next few days, I will be featuring more stunning Swedish bloggers! Also, I have more blog news for myself to share with you soon, so Hej d or Good bye for now:)
