I have to share just a few simple Fall decorating idea's that I did for my home~
I have always been a big fan of the clear or white light strands that you can buy. Now, more then ever you can find a wide selection from the tiny rice lights that are popular at Weddings to the french cafe bulb style that are great on a patio. I love the Smith and Hawkens brand that Target carries, so when I came across these twig lights with pumpkin colored bulbs I knew I had to have them. I took a terra cotta urn and crumpled brown paper as the base and stuck the twig lights out the top. Then I just placed a few pumpkins and gourds around the paper base. I have done the same idea with tiny white lights at Christmas and placed them in a larger urn on my front porch.
I also have a huge old floral basket that I placed pumpkins, gourds and a small Fall wreath on top of my farm table in the kitchen. I tucked some copies of an old Deed tied with jute inside the basket. Lucky the cat, is always a willing participant to be photographed so she jumped right in to help.
This is really Lucky's time of the year because her coat is custom made to go with all the Fall colors!
