My husband Bob and I finally got to celebrate a belated anniversary trip over the weekend. We headed to Big Cedar Lodge in the southern part of Missouri for the weekend and had a glorious and much needed restful time. Since 1990 we make the 3 1/2 hour trip south to this beautiful resort at least once a year.
This is a photo of the registration cottage entrance.
This massive craftsman chandelier hangs in the main entrance and echo's the style of lighting throughout the resort.
Leather chairs to sit and take in the beautiful view.
The wagon and straw crafted horses sit in front the smokehouse with a harvest bounty.
A photo of one of the chandeliers in our cabin.
A view out the french doors of our cabin. We sat and drank a glass of wine Friday evening just enjoying the beautiful scenery, babbling brook beneath and crisp autumn air.
If you are ever in Missouri, I would love to be your tour guide to Big Cedar:)
