My husband Bob and I finally got to celebrate a belated anniversary trip over the weekend. We headed to Big Cedar Lodge in the southern part of Missouri for the weekend and had a glorious and much needed restful time. Since 1990 we make the 3 1/2 hour trip south to this beautiful resort at least once a year.

This massive craftsman chandelier hangs in the main entrance and echo's the style of lighting throughout the resort.

A view out the french doors of our cabin. We sat and drank a glass of wine Friday evening just enjoying the beautiful scenery, babbling brook beneath and crisp autumn air.
